Connecting your wallet
This guide assumes you have already created your wallet or already have a wallet. Next we will go through steps to connect your wallet to INDX and troubleshoot any issues you may encounter.
Connection steps
Section titled “Connection steps”- Visit INDX
- Click “Login” in the top right corner
- Select your wallet provider (e.g. Coinbase Wallet, Metamask, etc.)
- Approve the connection request in your wallet
You may be asked to add the Base network to your wallet. This is because INDX is built upon the Base network.
Understanding Key Concepts
Section titled “Understanding Key Concepts”Slippage
Section titled “Slippage”Slippage refers to the difference between expected and actual trade prices due to market movements and liquidity.
Default: 5% max slippage
- Lower tolerance = higher failure risk
- Higher tolerance = potentially worse prices
Troubleshooting tips
Section titled “Troubleshooting tips”If your transaction fails
- Check ETH balance for gas
- Increase slippage tolerance
- Refresh page and retry
- Check network congestion
If you don’t see tokens after a successful transaction:
- Add tokens to wallet manually
- Verify on block explorer
- Wait for full processing
- Check transaction status
Security Tips
Section titled “Security Tips”- 🔐 Never share private keys or recovery phrases
- 🌐 Always verify you’re on the official INDX website
- 💰 Start small until comfortable with the process
- 🔌 Disconnect wallet when not using the platform
